Feature: Mapping the Role of Energy in Community Health & Resilience
design2sustain was invited to work with ShiftN on creating a grant assessment framework for the JPB Foundation. The JPB Foundation’s Environment Program focuses on ‘enabling healthy and resilient communities by enriching and supporting the environment’.
The project itself consists of developing a grant assessment framework for the Foundation’s investments in the energy arena and placing this within the Foundation’s broader grant making strategy. The concepts of community, health, and resilience are articulated, and the impact of the energy system on community health & resilience is mapped out in a visual systems diagram.
In the execution of this multidisciplinary project Peter de Ruijter is working in close collaboration with a great group of professionals, Philippe Vandenbroeck (ShiftN, Leuven), Marshal Clemens (Idiagram, Boston) and Adrian Vickery Hill (BUUR, Leuven).
